Did a double feature at the movies today. We saw Silver Linings and Lincoln finally.

Both were outstanding. I had to restrain myself from cheering when they showed the Eagles scenes. I'd like to bang Jennifer Lawrence. Cooper and DeNiro were very good as well.
Vernon Holley made an appearance as a cop taking Chris Tucker back to the bin.

Daniel Day Lewis - wow...fantastic. So were Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field.

kings speech - solid feel good movie if you can stand watching ugly annoying english people for two hours...got slow at times and the dramatic stuttering moments were waaaaay drawn out to annoying effect but all in all was a decent look....rush as always was outstanding

6.5/10

the big lebowski - as always with the cohen brothers they are hit or miss...when they hit their shtein is absolutely brilliant and when they miss its usually because they try way to hard to be different and it falls flat.....the miss scenario was in full effect in the big lebowski

General_Failure

It isn't often I find myself agreeing with you about movies, but I could never get in to that one.

The Man with the Iron Fists - After watching so many movies where the action shots are a hot mess of cuts from different angles in an unsuccessful attempt to hide how zesty it is, this was a refreshing change of pace.

Dredd - Better than I was expecting, and probably deserves a sequel. Preferably without the blonde sidekick before someone gets a stupid idea like making her a love interest.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Just saw Argo.

Good suspense flick.  Best movie of year..I guess none of the others were great either. (Saw only Django...it sucked).

The last movie I saw that made me go..."holy crap, that is great:"  There Will Be Blood.
There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

Daniel Day Lewis was fantastic in that too.

not sure how suspenseful argo was when you knew the ending....plus the "suspense" at the end was completely fabricated for hollywood

i enjoyed argo but to me it was the best tv movie ever made and wasnt one of the ten best movies of last year

SD

Red Dawn remake. Meh. I'm a fan of the original.

Don Ho

Only good thing about flying this past week was I was able to get four movies off the list I wanted to see:

Silver Linings Playbook 8/10 Cooper is very good as was DeNiro.

Hitchcock 9/10 Anthony Hopkins is just awesome and Helen Mirren was excellent as Hitchcock's wife.  Great cast.  Kind of bias here as I am a huge Hitchcock fan.

Skyfall  5/10 a little disappointed.  Loved Javier Bardem as the villain though.

Life of Pi 8/10 dragged in the middle, would like to watch it again as viewing on a tiny monitor
in the seat in front of me surely took something out of it.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

You can't do this to yourself, man...
"Now I'm completing up the other half of that triangle" - Emmitt Smith on joining Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin in the Hall of Fame

its arguably the greatest movie of all time.....but i have a huge problem with the cheesy font on the cast lettering at the beginning of the silence of the lambs....makes it look like its scream or something

Watched Argo last night. It was good. Charlie Wilson's War was much better.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.
