If youre gonna cake off a T, it should be Jake Long. Clady too, if he hadn't been tagged. But not Smith, the last thing this team needs is another overpaid headcase, especially along the OL.

Eagaholic

Agree about Smith and I wouldn't think he's a good fit for the line. From what I've seem in '12 he easily had his best year in his contract year and I'd worry about him being one of those guys that gets paid then gets lazy. I'd pay Goldson though, probably a good investment.

PhillyPhreak54

Agreed on worrying about Smith's motivation. I'm surprised he had turned out to be a nice player after his early laziness. But I wouldn't dump big money into him.

I'd take a shot on Long. Play him at RT and move Manneans to RG.

Eagaholic

I doubt Long gets the $11M he wants, or even close unless the guaranteed is low, but even so I think Id rather not spend that much there and go for Jeockel or Fisher. If they were both on the board I wouldn't mind dropping a few slots to get the other. God knows they have enough holes to fill.

i agree....i dont really see the need to go tackle on the open market when you have the #4 overall pick in a top heavy OT draft

unless maybe they want to go all in on the OL by signing a tackle and taking warmack in the draft

long
warmack
kelce
herremans
peters

would be pretty sick

a lot of peole would disagree with that strategy since they have so much to do on defense but id have no problem with going in that direction

problem is we have no idea what peters long term prospects are because they eagles never talk....about anything...for all we know he will never be the same again....or he could be 100% ready to go right now

Mosher says the FA targets to keep an eye on for the Eagles are Sean Smith, Goldson, Jean-Francois, Rashad Johnson and Cook

Pat Kirwan had a convo w/ Herremans the other day, and Todd said Peters is ready to go. This is from Twitter, and you hate Twitter, but this is basically the only chance of news we'll have on this topic for awhile, so whatever.

i dont hate twitter...i just hate when todd herremans medical diagnosis are reported on twitter

Clearly you can take it with a grain of salt, but having a buddy say Peters is ready to go is still better than nothing

i have no doubt hes going to give it a go this year

i just wonder what the odds are that he A. reinjures it B. ever heals anywhere close to 100% C. how much will his play be effected going forward
