So it begins: Browns coach Pat Shurmur and GM Heckart will be gone by Monday, sources tell Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Schefter spelled Heckert wrong

Which is the biggest screwup, drafting a 29 year old quarterback or drafting a 29 year old lineman?

The man. The myth. The legend.

ice grillin you

both were dumb but at least a qb can change a franchise....weedon just isnt that guy....id have no problem drafting an old qb if i thought he was a franchise guy.....but i dont think id draft a guard at that age no matter how good he was...much less a canadien firemen whos never played football before

QuoteDavid Akers missed two field goal attempts in the first half of today's game, from 44 and 40 yards, to continue an awful season for someone who has long been one of the league's most reliable kickers. Akers missed at least one field goal in six of the team's final eight games this season and ends the regular season with a conversion rate of just 69 percent on field goals for the year.

That's the lowest of his career as a full-time kicker and it has prompted repeated questions about whether the 49ers would look to replace Akers. They've looked at others in tryouts, but coach Jim Harbaugh has stuck with Akers each time. He was asked if he'll replace Akers this time after Sunday's 27-13 win and committed to nothing other than a concise description of Akers' job.

"I don't know if we have to," Harbaugh said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. "We'll evaluate the position. It's his job to make the field goals."

lol on the same day the eagles kicker shanks a 3 foot field goal he does this

not a good look
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Plus Akers is going into the playoffs with a bye week while the Eagles just fired their coach.

Besides we all know that when Akers misses field goals it's because his kid has cancer.

...But team president Michael Bidwill just said during a press conference that he was also going to interview former Eagles coach Andy Reid and Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy as well, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

Wow, this feels pretty cool posting about Andy in the Former Eagles thread. You guys should try it.  :yay
