what this does more than anything else other than improve the defense is it puts vick on the clock....hes next if he doesnt get better

TEAM NEWS: Eagles today announced they have dismissed defensive coordinator Juan Castillo from his duties with the Philadelphia Eagles and named secondary coach Todd Bowles as the team's new defensive coordinator.

while i am happy by this, it really feels like a distraction from the real problem on this team which is the offense.  i know the d has given up the game the past two weeks, but honestly they weren't horrible.  the offense is the main culprit to why they are 3-3

Second, I feel mildly sad for Juanny.  He was put into that position when he had no business being there.  At.  All.

Still... good news because Bowles is at least familiar with defense, and if nothing else, this puts everyone else on notice.   Get it done or you're out, including Tubby.

Exactly. Juan went to Andy and sold him on the idea being the DC. Andy gave him the chance because of loyalty. We all knew it was going to be a disaster just like we knew how drafting Teo would turn out. At least Bowles is here to fill in because he has a good resume.
