Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who has pledged to repeal Obamacare, says that people without health insurance don't have to worry about dying as a result.

"We don't have people that become ill, who die in their apartment because they don't have insurance," Romney said in an interview with the Columbus Dispatch's editorial board on Wednesday.

In fact, more than 26,000 Americans died prematurely in 2010 because they lacked health insurance, according to a recent report by Families USA.

"We don't have a setting across this country where if you don't have insurance, we just say to you, 'Tough luck, you're going to die when you have your heart attack,'" he added in the interview. "No, you go to the hospital, you get treated, you get care, and it's paid for, either by charity, the government or by the hospital."

Best part of that quote is that 4 years ago he was saying that method was crowding our emergency rooms and that all these people getting care on the tax payer dime should take personal responsibility and buy health insurance....

I think you're reading way too much into it.  This dude is like 60 years old and his dad probably gave him that advice like 40 years ago when people made a much bigger deal about premarital pregnancy.  Women don't really cry rape these days if they get pregnant because being unwed and pregnant is nothing to really be ashamed of.  Back then it was an easy way to explain it to their parents.  The court system will get them paid through paternity suits so playing the rape card for being single and knocked up is mostly an out of date practice.  These days they cry rape if you're rich, if they feel rejected, or if they actually get raped....although the latter is highly unlikely to really happen since women are sluts.
