He didn't make the team by the skin of his teeth so much as the $6.8 million in dead money it would create cutting him. But also in part because of his potential and there are good DEs in front of him. He was activated over Curry who has looked very good (although I only saw about half of PS Curry looked to me like he might have had the most explosive first step of any DLineman in plays I saw). Because of how improved Graham looked they want to give him some opportunity to show something and with their depth they have the luxury of keeping him around and giving him a few plays to see what happens.
