yeah why not hang onto Hanson and get rid of Lindley who's a bum

Seabiscuit36

I'm thinking they just do what they did last year with hanson

i can only think that hes super toasted...i mean he was really bad in preseason

i understand the theory that they could bring him back and dont necessarily disagree that it might happen but if you wanted him that much why not just cut trevard who no one is picking up under any circumstance

pft is either trying to practice better journalism these days and not jump the gun or they arent quite what they used to be as that news is two hours old

andy:

Quote"There was great competition at the quarterback position. That's what football and training camp is all about. In the end, we had to make the difficult decision to let Mike Kafka go. Mike is a class act, a student of the game and a great person and I think he'll have no problem finding a job in the National Football League very soon. On the other hand, I'm proud of the way Trent Edwards conducted himself since the early days of the offseason workouts. He had to fight for everything he earned this summer. He improved each and every day and made the most of every opportunity."

QB Eagles

Glad Edwards made it. Earned his way onto the team the old fashioned way. And I'm cool with a veteran checkdowner being one of the backup QBs.

One of the punters will surely be cut, I'm not worried about that. Since the latest info is that Anderson isn't going on the PUP, that leaves one more. They are probably just seeing which lineman is willing to take the steepest pay cut. I wouldn't assume that Lindley made the cut yet, either, 5 CBs is typical. Hopefully the Birds see it our way and don't cut Polk.

McBriar's wife tweeted (per the Philly writers) congrats to Chas Henry.

So they kept the zesty guy over the good guy

yeah anderson for lindley or even hughes would be fine

keep an eye on havili...wouldnt shock me if he was cut to keep polk and be able to add someone else...you have to believe that they are looking for a safety on the waiver wire

McLane says it's official that McBriar is gone. Also says that Trent Edwards believes that Foles is Vick's Week 1 backup.

One more cut to come, unless they do decide to PUP Anderson after all.

Eagaholic

SS is the only area that is scarey, along with maybe the Oline. And by Oline I mean LT,C and if any starter goes down. And also if a starting corner goes down. Then of course there's the Vick question. As good as Foles has looked he would still need a year before he's ready for prime time. And the punter situation could be a disaster. But the Dline looks like it could be pretty damn good. Of course Juan will be calling the D's plays though.
