Golf can go farg itself. I have no interest in learning a game where I'd have to hang out with a bunch of uppity crackers.

farging amen

I still don't get this mindset.  I mean, I get the stereotype surrounding golfers but that's mostly limited to the country club snobs.  Public courses are full of middle class drunks.

Sure, middle class drunks who get together and play dress up on the course, acting like they enjoy the leisure and wealth required to actually be a golfer.  It's an expensive pastime that wastes massive natural resources and pollutes the environment on which the rest of us depend for survival.  farg golf and golfers.

Most guys who play a lot of golf are rich and white, so the stereotype is fine. Not sure why it's so important to some of you one way or another. After all, Obama golfs a lot more than Bush did. It's not like golf courses are the root of all evil. They're just expensive as all hell to maintain properly and thus cost a lot to play. Jazz hands.

I actually wish the stereotype was still accurate.   The influx of hoi polloi to the golf world has been nauseating.  Personally I think they should go back to playing horseshoes in the back yard and leave the golf course to "us".

My favorite part of the golfing experience is when I walk off the 18th green and straight into the pub 30 yards away.  The booze & food are great (and surprisingly cheap) and I don't have to worry about whiny hipsters ruining my fun.

farg golf.

I agree with this.

Then again, where else can you strap a cooler full of beer to the roof of a moving vehicle, while at the same time swinging metal sticks at tiny white things and not get locked up?

jesus theres no way you people are actually this bitter in real life. getting drunk all afternoon and playing golf is fun. if what people are wearing bothers you than you are way more douchey than them. and yes i have bad ass adidas golf shoes.

ice grillin you

theres nothing fun about golf...getting drunk and being with friends is the only reason to play....i enjoy it on a vacation playing in the mountains or by the ocean when you dont give a farg and most of the people on the course dont either since everyone is just CHILLAXIN...but farging slugging around an overcrowded overpriced local course sucks

dio thinking every course is like augusta is hilarious

I totally get matt's point. Drinking outside under the pretense of doing something mildly active is something I fully endorse. But golf, the game and all of the bullshtein airs that get put on in the name of the game, sucks. Hard. But even worse than upper class white dudes getting dressed up at 6am to walk around for a few hours though is televising the goddamned thing. Watching people play golf has got to be the most boring thing in history.

This I agree with completely.  Couldn't watch it before I started playing, can't watch it now either.  I do tune in for a few minutes with the major tourneys just to see what's going on, but that's about it.

ice grillin you

you cant watch soccer though....rjs loves soccer...they both are boring maybe golf is even more boring...but you cant say golf sucks because its boring and then love soccer
