Soccer is constant action unless you don't understand the game. Golf is just straight boring.

on tv all they do is go from shot to shot to shot and just about every shot means something

soccer is kick the ball to one dood then kick it to another then kick it out of bounds then corner kick then maybe a goal after 70 minutes of kicking the ball

im certainly not defending golf but on tv (going to a golf tournament would be hell on earth) you can argue it has more action and more meaningful action than soccer

Does anyone in here have a competitive bone in their body? I'm dead serious. You people bitch about a sport because you can't play it--nothing to do with the money, action or uppity heads on the course.

Call out some sport thats a joke to play and anybody can do it with enough time and practice like lacrosse or soccer.  Not the hardest sport on the planet. The ones that overly bitch about golf are the ones that picked up a club, tried swinging it, looked like a parapalegic doing it so they gave up.

I'm one of, if not the, most competitive people I know. I alienate friends and family alike. Golf still sucks. Also, golf is not a sport. It's a passtime, like canasta or bridge or softball. Anything that explicitly includes walking instead of running, alcohol DURING the proceedings and fat rich white people moving slowly is not a sport.

Sober or drunk.....have you ever tried hitting a ball in your life?

ice grillin you

agree on that...golf is definitely not a sport....and when i played i was solid...used to hit the low to mid 80's and averaged around 88-90...certainly not great but far from giving up because i sucked

its just not that fun and is way to expensive for what you get out of it....like i said i love being on a scenic course when im on vacation hanging with friends and drinking beer....but the game itself is just not that good

Yes. I've been to driving ranges and played nine holes one time. I sucked, of course. But it was boring and based on your theory everyone would hate every sport simply because they weren't a superstar the first time they ever tried it. Golf sucks and is boring. If you hate your life golf is better than sitting on your couch thinking about how much you hate your life. If you really can't find any other excuse to leave the house and be outside or you are too old and fat to play a real sport, it's better than nothing. Those are about the best things I can say about golf.

it's not that expensive.

yeah you pay $50-$60 for a weekend round, but you are out there 4.5 hours.

that's $13/hr.  what else can you do for $13 in an hour?

i honestly don't care who hates it or loves it.  i love it and i would play twice a week if i had the time and money.  but i had to lol at Dio's hatred being based off of how much land was being used.  it's probably one of the more environmentally friendly things you can do with that much land

actually golf courses are pretty zesty for the land they are built on and the enviroment in general.....forget what they do to the land...the amount of pesticides they use to up keep the course is staggering

i dont know how it compares to say a housing development but they arent enviromentally freindly at all

Every squirrel I know is exceptionally smart and talented and would never set foot on a golf course.

Fact.
