Well, so far, what players have left any money on the table?  Melo made the Knicks dismantle their team in order for him to make the most money.  Players aren't just going to walk away from guaranteed money?  At worst, if he doesn't want to sign here, we'll be able to some assets back in return.

Bynum wanted to be the man, while making the most amount of money.  Even if he doesn't resign. I'm not losing sleep over Harkless and Vucevic, two picks I've hated from the start.

MDS

seriously people, their entire team is under 30

this is incredible

they have cap room to resign bynum, add someone in the next offseason, and more than enough time to wait out the heat and become a the best team in the east within 3 years.

if turner or jrue can become a closer its OVA. thats really all they need. that an doug needs to not be a fleshpop to bynum.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

the problem with that theory is that they dont have any very good players besides bynum on the team now that iguodala is gone...and they still dont have a superstar

bynum plus a stud wing or a two and now you are talking....but andrew bynum and evan turner are not winning a title ever...the age of this team means nothing at this point as i dont see a player on their roster who at any age is going to be great...look at what the celtics did....they went for stud players regardless of age...lots of teams of are young....not many team are good

again i would not be mad if bynum signed long term because then you have that piece that hopefully you then piece a superstar with...but im also not jerking off to the move like some people...the best part of it by far is that they are a breath of freash this year no matter what their record is going to be....its a new thing which is a good thing

lol you are the biggest contrarian ever. is it possible for you to be happy for five seconds.

they havent had a real center since moses. enjoy this for what it is. no one is thinking they are good enough to win the title yet. everyone knows they need more. but this is a massive first step. just embrace it.

i dont enjoy things just because....i have to believe in it...if you it makes you content to say they have the best team under 30 in the nba and that this is the most incredible day since moses then do it...but i dont see their great talent or any even better than good players on the roster other than bynum (perhaps jeru one day) whos a psychotic breakdown and a cranky knee away from oblivion

could it all work out where bynum loves philly is resigned stays healthy becomes a perennial all star and then they pair him with a couple studs in a few years?...absolutely...and when that happens it will be ON.....but we are a long long ways away from that

i just think the brakes need to be pumped and we shouldnt be smashing speed laws because they got a very good player who may not even be on the team in 11 months

i should add that i am not saying to not be excited...or saying you are crazy...all im saying is i personally am not there yet...theres a lot of good that can be said about the deal no doubt

never said any of those things

but getting pumped over this move is what sports is all about. lets just have some fun for once skippy.

i was pumped up last year when i thought theyd make it to the conference finals...i like today because its a new day but i cant get pumped up just yet

i did get a ten game plan this year if that counts for anything

phattymatty

i love this even more than i did last night.

bynum
allen
richardson
turner
jrue

thats a solid lineup without even going into thad, nick young, wright, hawes coming off the bench.

i think lavoy is the best fit as a starter so he can just go in there and be lavoy, grab some boards and mess with people. and you have to admit thats a nice 4 off the bench. if moultrie and kwame can make any contributions thats just a bonus.

i think they are 3rd bext team, maybe even top two. not betting on a conf. finals appearance but man i'm excited to see them. such a big change from the 900 SFs they had a few weeks ago.

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

the sixers were stuck in basketball purgatory a week ago.  entertaining to watch, yeah, but with a relatively low ceiling.

this might blow up in their face, but in order to truly try to win a championship, this was necessary because it wasn't happening just sticking with what they had IMO.

im interested to see how much their pts allowed per game average goes up without iggy and to a much lesser extent brand gone...the rim will be guarded much better but you cant underestimate the effect of losing a guy who can guard the other teams best player for 48 minutes and almost always have them score below their average

also andre was their best passer....jeru has to become a point guard this year but i dont see that in him...like i said before lots of high low sets

Hawes will be starting at the 4, not Lavoy.

I see the starting lineup being either: Jrue, Turner, Wright, Hawes, Bynum
or Jrue, J-Rich, Turner, Hawes, and Bynum

SD

Home opener is against Andre Iguodala and those Denver Nuggets.
