sixers summer league on nba tv at 5 today

1. team is in the process of designing a throwback jersey with "phila" on the front - great idea but for once i wish they would bring back an actual throwback....when you desing something new you cant call it a throwback

2. ayla brown will sing national anthem at all home games this season - she should die a slow death as shes a celtics fan who rooted for the heat last year

3.  schedule to be released late july early august - yay

4. team exploring idea of buying a d league franchise and putting it in allentowns new arena - awesome idea...would be really cool to have the flyer and sixer "minor league" teams play in the same arena

5. looking into designing a 50th anniversary patch - should be awesome but how are they only looking into this?...should be a no brainer

6. blue alt road jersey to be unveiled this year - hope for the best expect mediocrity

7. new mascot to arrive in time for this season - ill admit im intrigued

Just got Dorell Wright from the Warriors for a draft pick

and that blue alt was supposed to debut this past season but didn't for some reason.  Take the road reds and make it blue instead, and that's all it is

There has to be something else in the works if they're adding yet another guard/forward type. No team needs this many swingmen.

got a text about this while i was out, what the farg. hopefully they get 9 more small forwards.

plus, dude did not have a good season last year. numbers weren't the worst but he would go 2-3 games straight without hitting a field goal.

who could they possibly be going for?

i could easily do a 180 if a good big man comes out of this but i am hating their offseason so far.

It was initially thought the Sixers would be sending a future draft pick, but the Associated Press is reporting that it is the rights to a player currently playing in Europe.

CSNBayArea.com's Matt Steinmetz is speculating it is possibly Edin Bavcic, whose rights the Sixers acquired from the Toronto Raptors after he was selected in the second round of the 2006 draft.

i dont think theres any ulterior motive to getting wright...and hes not like any other player they have....hes a stand still knock down three point shooter and when hes "right" hes one of the best in the nba...imo thats why they got him
