Did anyone see the PA politician boasting about how the voter suppression laws will win PA for Romney?

Good stuff.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

No, didn't see that.  Shouldn't you be out registering people of color to vote?

Mandate apparently upheld as a tax (despite cnn butchering the headline).

Pretty surprising.  It definitely could have been pitched as a tax and would've been constitutional, but that argument was thrown out pretty quickly during oral arguments.

Hahaha, I was just coming to make fun of CNN for trying to beat everyone and getting it wrong.

Wow 5-4 with roberts voting left without kennedy.  Did not expect that.  Big props to
roberts knowing he'd get crucified on the right forever now.

I'm curious about why he wrote the opinion upholding it as a tax. Seems strange.

Definitely could've been constitutional as a tax if Obama pitched it that way instead of saying repeatedly it wasn't.  The fed has almost unlimited taxing and spending powers.   I didn't think that argument (about it being a tax) would fly since the proponents repeatedly said it wasn't.  It is though in a sense.

I think he didn't want to keep expanding the commerce clause (which I agree with).  I despise the expansion of the commerce clause.  This is the perfect ruling to me.  Upholds it without expanding the CC further.

People who are angry and threatening to move to Canada to get away from 'socialized medicine'. Presumably without the understanding that Canada has a system of socialized medicine that is far far far more socialized than ours. Good stuff.

Edit: Oh THawk, you dick.

That's why the lifetime term is so important. The court is supposed to answer to the constitution, not to politics. Whether you like or dislike "Obamacare," the court's ruling makes legal sense. If you dislike it, vote for people who you think will reduce the span of it.

I mean... We had to know there would be bitching on one side and joy on the other today, but ultimately throwing blame around is pointless. Besides, there are a lot worse things the government spends money on than healthcare.
