i've been counting calories and doing GSP Rushfit since March 1st and today I'm down a total of 31.5 pounds.

rushfit is interval training like Insanity or P990x but it's a little more strength based.

That's legit. Considering that you probably swapped out some muscle for fat, you've probably made even more progress than that from a body fat percentage perspective.

yeah, i didn't take measurements like that when i started which i kind of regret now, but i'm happy with the weight dropping

i'll be honest, this is the easiest it's been for me.  it's probably a combination of getting older and not wanting to be a slob so i have more motivation but the fact that i discovered this workout program i can do from home, with just dumbbells has been a huge factor. 

last summer i did a diet called the dukan, which was a high protein, no carb thing.  it really worked but in the end i failed because i couldn't live not having rolls, or pasta or potatoes, shtein like that.

now, i use this iphone app called myfitnesspal and it tracks your calories and as long as you stay within your calorie allotment that day it doesn't matter what you eat.  its easier for me to eat anything i want with portion control rather than eliminate and entire group of foods.

I can't stand the idea of calorie counting, which is probably why I can't get rid of the layer around my midsection. I've been consistently working out 4-5 days a week, but at least 3 days are primarily running - so the benefits of "muscle confusion" aren't really working in my favor.

To summarize, I know exactly what I need to do to lose weight, and I'm putting it off like the slacker that I am. Good news is my belt size is as small as its been in years, even though my weight is about 10-12 lbs into "overweight" on the body mass index.

BMI is a crock of shtein though...that tells me i should be like 185 or something, which will never, ever happen.

i hated counting calories too, and it's hard work, but that app actually makes it much easier.  it uses your phone camera to scan the barcodes of products and it loads the information right in.  it allows you to build recipes to tell you how many calories you are eating

I just checked, and I actually have the app installed... which means the wife installed it on her phone but never really did anything with it. So, there's that. We must be about the same height, because my cutoff on BMI is ~184 also. But you're right.. it's a crock of shtein. For instance, I think Shady McCoy is 5'11", 205. OBESE.

Nice work Sunny. I've gotten myself down to 195. I stalled for 2 weeks since my reenlistment was denied and I lost the motivation to keep going but this week I've gotten myself back on track. The good news is that I had kick started my metabolism again enough to the point where I kind of ate like crap for 2 weeks and didn't gain any weight. If I get down to 185 I'll be happy.

According to the outdated weight indexes, I'm supposed to be at 175lbs. I'm 20 pounds over that...I think I could comfortably be at 180-185 and still be the sex magnet my mom says I can be.
