I was at WCU for camp the summer of '94 and while the team was practicing there was Lester Holmes in shorts and a tshirt running the hills next to the practice fields.

Reason # 1 billion why Rich Kotite needs to die in an oven:

I was at a wedding reception when that motherfarger was picked and we were watching it live on tv as it happened.  Kotite was beside himself on ESPN saying how great he was and how he played with a nasty streak.

Then the piece of shtein held out and was all but useless for the rest of his miserable career.

Kotite was smug, clueless, arrogant and absolutely the most overmatched head coach in Eagles history.  Die, die, die.

kotite was an ass of epic porportions but had next to nothing to do with PP....harry gamble made the draft picks

Lurie did an interview 5-10 years ago and talked about his first few years with the Eagles. He said the first year he was the owner he showed up draft weekend expecting the coaches and front office to be huddled in a room somewhere preparing their picks. Instead there was nobody there...he said the coaches/front office sort of winged it draft day [no surprise there] and that was one of the big factors of him making a change.

just before lurie it is was all harry gamble...the big problem was in the early 90's when their scouting dept became woefully understaffed and underfunded...then in 93 director of PP joe woolley was fired for essentially insubordination...woolley was an excellent PP guy who played a huge role in putting together the buddy teams

semi related random fact: harry gambles son tom is the architect of the current 49ers team

51 witnesses?  That must have been just wonderful to be a jury member and have to listen to all the graphic details.  Fry the farger.
