hes in the middle of georgia and no sec school wanted him, not even has a buckup. tech or fsu or any acc school passed. so he went to rice where he was going to win 4 games in his career, but changed at the last minute to psu simply because rice is a cesspool.

Supposedly Bench wasn't a higher rated prospect because up until his senior year when he transferred he was running a wing-t offense. 

If you watch his film the kid definitely has talent and at this point the way the QB play is up there they should take anything they can get.

They already have two QBs from VA next year that are very interested in them.  Next years recruiting class for QBs in the northeast is absolutely loaded.

Confirmed the following information from three different sources on campus.

In July Joe Paterno informed Penn State's athletic director, Tim Curley, and Penn State president, Graham Spanier, that the 2011 season would be his last as Penn State's head football coach.

At that same time I was told Paterno gave Penn State four names of individuals he felt were qualified to replace him.

Those four individuals were Urban Meyer, Greg Schiano, Chris Peterson and the biggest surprise of all Mike Riley the head coach at Oregon State.

I was also told and it was confirmed to me by two of those contacts, that my report was accurate I stated back in August a verbal agreement had been reached by Penn State with Urban Meyer and that Meyer was set to be named as Penn State's 15th head football coach when Paterno retired at the end of the 2011 season.

I also read that he still may have came to PSU except they handled the whole situation so poorly.  Either way it really doesn't matter now.

They just landed their first recruit for 2012 QB Christian Hackenburg.  He is a 4 star.
