I don't for a second believe he was about to drop the N bomb.  I've listened to the speech, and it doesn't sound like it, and I cannot believe that he is so stupid or suffers from such poor self control that it would slip out.  The guy says batshtein crazy things every day, real things that he stands by and which deserve the attention of sane people everywhere, so they know this guy is dangerous. 

Those are the utterances that ought to draw attention, but instead we get lefty die-hards drumming up faux outrage over a non-slur.
