QuoteDon't be surprised if Steve Smith becomes a Giant again

Steve Smith left the Giants for the Eagles in free agency this year, and he's expecting a rude reception from Giants fans tonight. But there's already talk that Smith could be back with the Giants again next season.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that people who know Smith think he'd love to return to the Giants after the season, and that he believes the Giants are the best fit for him.

The Eagles haven't been a particularly good fit for Smith: He has just 10 catches for 110 yards this season. So it's easy to envision Smith being one-and-done in Philadelphia.

And if he is, it's easy to envision him returning to the Giants. He was a perfect fit in their offense during his one full, healthy season as a starter, catching 107 passes for 1,220 yards and seven touchdowns. The Giants might be the best team for him.

Bet he won't fall down at 19 yards when he needs 20 up there.

The key is "the one full, healthy season".  Get him the farg out of here.

It's more about being bitter at the FO and another miscalculated move that backfired by those goons.  I never thought he'd be back.

i loved and still love the move itself...low risk high reward....but that doesnt change the fact that they were never gonna resign him...if he sucks like he has then they dont want him.....if he had been great then they would have lowballed him

the one negative about the move was that you pay this gimp from new york four mil but cant cake off your own draft pick who has clearly outplayed his rookie deal?

Nothing really miscalculated about it at all.  Low cost, low risk, high reward.  Didn't pan out.  It's not like the signed the guy to be a starter.

At least they weren't trying to pass him off as Jackson insurance.

Not bitter about the signing at all.

Bitter at him being a snatch last week.

Wait until next year when he goes off for 8, 150, 2td against the Eagles.

Thats a given.

He's already given the Giants some points this year and probably will again tonight too

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
