Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

finished friday night lights....had a decent amount of things that never would have happened and didnt make much sense....the one that bugged me the most was buddy garrity disowning dillon and pledging his allegiance to another school storyline....they spend three seasons showing how much he cares about his alma mater...that he loves dillon more than his own family and then just because he doesnt like a couple boosters he jets in an instant?...i hated that

fnl to me is a show all about individual scenes...many of the story arcs were lacking but within there were some of the greatest scenes in tv history and define "drama"

my tv watching life is a really small smaple size but fnl is the best drama ive ever seen

It's not much of a stretch to say that. In terms of shows that are done its either this or the sopranos. Take your pick.

And just as much as buddy was about dillon and the panthers, he was just as much about himself and being 'the guy.' So its not out of left field.

Granted the second season never happened, but the worst storyline was coach Taylor getting his job back in dillon in the middle of the season. That would never happen. It can't. Jobs like that just can't be given to someone....there's equal opportunity employment because its a tax payer supported position.

that wasnt a storyline tho...it just happened...lasted like one episode...you were reminded of the buddy switch for like a season and a half...if you wanna nit pick like that then all that would be left of the show would be a carcas

the buddy thing is absolutely preposterous because if he was as much about the panthers as the show portrayed for like 50 episodes then you dont just up and leave because of a couple guys you dont like...he loved the panthers more than himself....it would be like me becoming a giant fan because i hate joe banner....except i also played for and won a superbowl with the eagles...completely ludicrous

well coach taylor was on east dillon and he and buddy are friends so they need to be on the same side

and thats why its a television show

one thing i thought was awesome was in the last episode when tim and tyra were talking about their futures and tyra says "i wanna be a politician like ms taylor"....without saying it that said all you need to know about whether she was gonna end back up in dillon probably with tim and six kids

just brilliant subtlety

rjs246

So I've finally been catching up a little on Walking Dead and I'm actually enjoying it more than I did last season. It still isn't action packed or zombie packed, but the Carl getting shot storyline wasn't nearly as annoying as you clowns made it out to be and I actually am finding the characters to be much more compelling than they were in season one. The only compelling thing in season one were the zombie scenes and the CDC. This season I think the Shane as a complex goodguy/badguy storyline (so far, only three episodes in) is really good and the crossbow redneck with the heart of gold adds something that was previously missing from the show. I've still got two episodes to watch, but I've enjoyed it so far.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Munson

IMO, the last two episodes of the season have been the best so far of the show. This past weeks episode really concentrated on Daryl.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
