last night was the tipping point in the eagles season (if it hadn't occurred already).  like I said at the time, I thought a loss sunk them, and a W probably springboards them into very solid playoff contention.   The Bears team as its constructed gives the Eagles problems.  Good LBs, quick DEs to contain Vick.  Good running game, uses Forte out of the backfield against the awful LBs.  The real advantage Philly had was the Bears OLine has a tendency to be swiss cheese and cutler throws awful passes when under pressure.  The DLine didn't show up last night.

I'm going to pick the Eagles this week, too.

Eagles get on top early, Bears have no answer to the pass rush, Forte gets his, but not enough to win it. McCoy continues to get a lot of work with the Bears playing safeties deep. Birds make another statement.

I bought in after the whipping they put on Dallas. I thought they had finally put it together. Turns out it was either A) an apparition, or B) the Cowboys are just as bad as the Birds. This is team is soft batch and is about as done as it gets.

The Eagles SHOULD put 45 up on this team. The Eagles SHOULD hold this team to fewer than 10. I actually think 30-16 is a fail.

Now that their season is more or less over, I expect them to utterly destroy bad teams and lose close games for stupid reasons against mediocre to good teams.

I'm not sure the Eagles' defense could stop one of Todd's high school teams at this point.

Kolb comes back from injury and looks like Aaron Rodgers.  Larry Fitzgerald goes for 300 yards, and DRC actually remembers to tackle him once, but bruises his vagina and has to leave the game.  Jackson catches one ball, but tosses it to the defender when he realizes that the guy is going to hit him, three stooges style.  Maclin catches a ball but runs the wrong way leading to a safety.  Vick snaps and has Jackson electrocuted and Maclin drowned.

Meanwhile the Eagles' linebackers are still too small, too slow and too white.

And in the end, Reid finally eats that after-dinner mint, blowing up like the fat guy in Monty Python's Meaning of Life.  That gets the biggest cheer of the game for Eagles fans.

hard to say if the eagles have given up....if they havent they will win easily....if they have they lose 22-21

i say andy still has them all IN by stressing that they win this week then have the giants head to head next week where they can get right back in it
