LOL, indeed.  Of course they're going to say they still want him....they can't trade him until March now.

Nobody is buying the idea that they still want him. Not fans, players, the other teams, or Asante. Why even say it? He's either going to play hardish for a new deal with another team next year or he's not.

That's what makes this kind of funny.  It's essentially a free agent year for Asante.  Dude has to realize that if he goes out and ball hawks that he's going to be able to negotiate a new contract in a sign and trade in the offseason and can get a really nice signing bonus out of it.

I've never been a fan but if that's legit, Asante might be my favorite Eagle for the moment.  Anyone who takes a shot at Banner Inc is fine by me.
