NPR needs to get out from under federal funds.  The small amount of money they get from the Feds is a yoke.  It turns them into punching bags for conservative critics who allege bias over anything.  In this case, they get upset about an opera show host (who isn't actually employed by NPR) working with Occupy. 

Dump the funding and you can also dump the internal witch hunt for anything that might possibly look like bias to the battery of hovering right wing vultures.

The rural communities who would lose their radio, their last bastion of any kind of radio serving the people, well farg 'em.  Maybe the free market will spend millions to beam Rush Limbaugh to their twenty dumb asses.
