There were a lot of under the radar signings that went unnoticed, I think Harris winds up being the best of that lot: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/20110808_Eagles_Notes___Harris_may_be_solidifying_role_as_Eagles_right_tackle.html

If he's not the opening day starter at some point I think he takes over as the every day RT.

He's more likely to be the opening day starter than to take over later, with Justice being injured and Dunlap apparently falling below Austin Howard on the depth chart. If he leaves something to be desired, Justice would have a chance to take over once he gets healthy.

yeah he was the opening day starter from the minute they signed him...they just cant say it since they want to give the appearance of a competition...i dont think justice injury has much to do with it either...he sucks when healthy and harris was an upgrade
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

Also, don't forget the one year deal... Not sure how long they have any of the other "candidates" locked up, but the Eagles are usually hesitant to put a guy in the last year of his contract in an important position.

Eskin reporting Harris needs surgery for a herniated disc and is likely done for the season

yeah they are basically cooked now....if you combine position importance with talent then their o line is def worse than their linebackers

Might as well move Wost Manneans now, if that's the case.

Les Bowen:

QuoteFor what it's worth, Ryan Harris just told me he doesn't think his back problem is going to need surgery, "but maybe your source is better."

3 seasons as a starter and the last 2 injured. Ten games played in 2010, and eight in 2009--3 back surgeries in 6 years.

Thanks for your time Ryan.

Thats sad, when you figure that the Eagles brass has put so much into this team in the offseason, to go into a year contending for a Superbowl with a o-line like that is pretty much embarassing.

ice grillin you

its ironic because andy has always prided himself in the OL and the depth of the unit benefitted the eagles many times over the years....now when they are all set up to make a honest to goodness SB run they dont even have a good starting unit

and god forbid they have any injuries on the line this year as the second unit is a straight up travesty
