Shady has been the only bright spot on either side of the ball.  He's had a few nice runs and looked good on that pass reception too.

Nnandi is shutdown as advertised

yeah, he's been all over.

anyway its the second preseason game.  given the shortened off season, new players, coaches, and playing against the steelers.. i'm hardly surprised.  they should just be using this time to gel and execute whatever philosophy they plan on implementing this year.  that white linebacker dude is gettin smacked around though.

This is one way to kill the dream team talk.

I think I've seen enough.

There is no more vanilla team in preseason than the Eagles and AR.

actually steelers have been more vanilla than the eagles this game...difference is the steelers have executed

Yeah, especially on defense.  Eagles have blitzed several times....corner blitzes, LB blitzes....much more "creative" than what we're used to seeing from them this time of year.  It makes sense though  because they don't have the time to work on this stuff in practice so they've got no choice but to do it in the games and make their mistakes publicly instead of privately on the practice field.  Hopefully these fargers learn from the film and are able to put it together relatively quickly.

eagles also ran a bootleg fly pattern to pimp as well as a bubble screen to pimp...steelers have basically run off guard off tackle or  elementary passing plays

I don't know if I can remember a linebacker tabbed a starter that looked worse. Maybe McCoy? I've seen Matthews get walked out of lanes at least five times tonight, a couple of times the guard or center simply used one arm and brushed him out of the way.

Why he wasn't moved to safety, I'll never know.

The worst part of this game? The backups will probably play half decent, but barely anyone is going to see it.

For all we know he might develop into a solid contributor, given a couple of years. But as a rookie, he is abysmal. I'd like to think they see the light and do a shuffle or bring in a vet, but that would be admitting they were wrong, which is something they don't do.
