I use them in the fireplace.

Too much ink in the phone books Sgt Slaughter!! no wonder you are farged up! no need to use starter paper when starting fire. Collect sticks and kindling all summer, then you will have no worries heating the house (or double wide in your case) all winter. Also make sure you have seasoned hard wood  :paranoid to last you at least 2 years in advance.  ;D

Yeah...I live in the desert. Not much by way of sticks and other kindling type materials. A few pages out of the phone book seem to do the job just right.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Sgt PSN

You're more christian than I am white trash.

Someone dropped six new phone books in two heavy plastic bags on my porch today.

How is that not littering?  Why is it now my problem to dispose of these things just because someone put them on my property?  If I weren't a decent neighbor, I'd throw them in the street.

Goddamn it.

I feel the same way about all the unsolicited flyers from grocery stores and what not

Diomedes

Somehow the First Amendment means spammers can litter my property.

Motherfargers, I object!

Isn't electronic spamming illegal? Same should hold true for paper mailings

Diomedes

I'm going to keep the phone books in my car until the next time I see a phone company truck I can throw them into.

Next time you're running errands, stop by their office and leave them on their stoop

Diomedes

If my "leave them on their stoop" you mean "throw them through a window," count me IN.
