heres a what would you do for you:

team a beats team b by 3 points in a sports meet for the district title. team b finds out a player on team a who scored 7 points was ineligible due to a minor paperwork oversight. they challenge it and the district executive committee rules that he is indeed ineligible, which gives team b the district title. team a is now appealing the ruling, though.

so would you want a tainted district title because 1 kid on the other team didnt get his paperwork for being cleared to play done correctly? the issue had to do with him moving from the location of team b to the location of team a because of his parents divorce. thats the only reason anyone even knew about it...because coaches of team b started digging for something, knowing he moved from school to school.

seems...petty and unsportsmanlike to me. especially in high school.
