The idea of Kinect is cool. I figure I'll pick it up for the kid at some point. Right now, I'm pretty content to use my controller when I play....and my current setup isn't great for it. That, and I haven't seen any available games that look good enough for me to bite that particular bullet.

Gameinformer gave Black Ops a 9/10 and said it has the best multi player of any CoD game yet. They said single player was good, but wasn't as epic as hyped.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Cool thing they have in Black Ops is a mode where you play multiplayer games but with computer opponents. So you can practice and or get up to skill level where you can enter a regular match and hold your own. Even though I'm pretty good at these games, I'll still go into this mode and practice to learn the maps etc...Great idea for first time players.

Just watched the XBM report on xbox live and zombies are confirmed from treyarch themselves. pretty stoked on that, minus the stupid zombie dogs.  :yay

Played a few games of multiplayer and one zombie for Black Ops. From previews and reviews I knew there was such thing as credit points. I didn't realize however that even when you unlock guns, you still have to purchase them through the points you earn in games. This is pretty dumb IMO. I mean if you grind it out to get the unlocks why would you have to pay for them also to even use them? By pay I mean spend your game credits. I thought whatever you unlock, you unlock, doesn't seem to be the case. I'm not really sold on that, they should give you the option to spend points to unlock or to just unlock them as you progress normally.

It seemed just a tad slower than MW2. However that could be because of not being familiar with maps and not having all the perks etc...One map was really small and crazy was called Nuketown. A few others seemed pretty big. One even had a nice big ladder to climb to pick guys off below. Oh and there is some new equipment. There is a spy camera you can set up to watch your back. It disables the game map and shows a infrared view of where you pointed it. Pretty cool if your into camping. You can turn it on and off and also it can be destroyed by enemies.

Zombie mode has the stupid dogs again. New map to play with it looks like 2 others that are somehow unlocked. I was extremely confused but the players helped me out a bit. Made it to round 8. I had to adjust my screen brightness because the zombie map its almost totally dark.

Overall seems pretty fun so far will give it a good play tonight I am sure.

I assume it's going for 60....so how much would I get for trading in MW2? 20?

I got $23 for trading in MW2, Madden(09? Steelers/Cardinals year), and Fable 2. I was okay with it plus the local shop I go to sells new games for $57.99.

Damn, I figured MW2 would still be worth at least 20. Then again, maybe it was and Madden 09 and Fable 2 were just worth that little :-D

Looks like I'm making a run to GameStop tonight to see what my options are...

You don't feel dirty getting $23 for games you spent $180 on?
