was there ever a band that lost it's lead singer and found such an excellent replacement as AC/DC

Bon Scott was great, but Brian Johnson was the perfect replacement.

Great band.

Alice in Chains when they went from Staley to Duvall. Their vocals are identical.

It's not a matter of imitation...getting a guy who sounds the same isn't the point.

But good suggestion, that guy does the job nicely.

Pantera had a modicum of success after they changed singers.

I've seen AIC several times with Layne & three times with Duvall.  The shows with Duvall were actually better, mostly because he wasn't a hopelessly strung out junky.

And Black Gives Way To Blue is farging excellent.

It was Gregg Rolie and he was better than Steve Perry ever thought of being.

of course you haven't heard of him because you're an ignorant farging wretch.  he was only the lead singer in santana before he left to form journey.

and another band i thought of that was good after switching lead singers was black sabbath with ronnie james dio.  not as good as with ozzy, of course, but still farging excellent.

im trying to figure out how being the lead singer of santana makes you a better singer than steve perry

i dont see the correlation
