ill always love the colts for embarrassing matt mccoy so much that the eagles never gave him another start....of course that gave us omar gaither who the eagles spent the better part of the next three years slamming down out throats

Hope the Colts beat the Texans. If so, the Eagles will be in a great spot on Sunday. Couldn't ask for a better spot with the Eagles coming off a loss and the bye and the Colts coming off a win in a big division game with a short week. Plus Clark hurt and other injuries with Vick back.

First Eagles game I ever saw was in '99 at the Vet vs. the Colts, who trashed the Eagles behind Peyton Manning and Edgerrin James, both of whom had very nice days. 

The only consolation was seeing McNabb throw his first NFL TD (to Chad Lewis) in garbage time.

I've heard a story...here I'm sure...that when Peyton returned to Philly after that game, he was given shtein by some ignorant Philly fan in a bar, and passed the guy a souvenir:  his stat line from that game on a napkin.  235 yards, 3 tds, (one of them an 80 yarder), no INT.

If the Eagles are lucky enough to be close at the end, everyone knows that theres a 99% chance Andy does something stupid that blows the game. That and the fact that Manning is the best out there late in the game makes it bad for the Eagles. They'll be fired up for this one, as they always are coming off a buy, and could make it close, but I can't help but think the buy week streak ends against the Colts.

I think the Eagles have a shot this week...which is more than I've ever thought against the Colts since the Mungro game. I think they can score with the Colts and all, especially with Vick being able to sustain some drives with his legs...but I don't see them slowing down Manning in the least. I just picture Manning sniffing out everything McDermott is trying to do pre-snap (just like he did against JJ) and making them pay for it.
