So you think Brandon Meriweather should not be suspended?

I love hard hits and jacked up shots as much as anyone, but the blatant headshots need to be eliminated.

Bears rumored to be making a run at Mankins from NE for Tommie Harris and a 4th.

starting this weekend, any shots to the head will result in automatic suspension
:boo fargin idiots!!

dont worry everyone, ill translate from middle aged white dude from farmville into regular speak

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Fact is a line needs to be drawn, because it's football and headshots are going to happen no matter what you do. Some sort of line between full on and/or intentional headshots/blows to the head, and shots like the one on DeSean where it wasn't a blow to the head and just a hard as farg hit.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Why farging idiots lead with the head is beyond me. I don't remember coaches saying form tackling was using head first. farging idiots.

it's football, you're probably going to get hurt. pick another sport if you don't like it.

The only hit that looked like it was worthy of suspending the player was Merriweather's.

To make a blanket statement that any shot to the head will result in suspension is excessive force

Take out the helmets, then see who puts their head down to make a tackle.

The man. The myth. The legend.

individually harrisons hits probably werent suspension worthy but to have multiple clear head shots in one game definitely should have him sitting

Also something about him showing no remorse and acting as if its good he knocked Cribb's brains out.

That's just how it works sometimes though. Maybe one of them he could have avoided, but the other one Cribbs put his head down...not much Harrison can do about that.

Why should a defensive player show remorse for doing his job well?

ice grillin you

cribbs head being down had nothing to do with that hit...harrison came from the side and blatantly went helmet to helmet on him...the second one he tried to do a double forearm shiver into dooks head

no you show remorse for hitting people in the head...and the fact that he showed no remorse shows that he didnt understand what he did wrong which says he probably is going to do it again

The fact that these athletes don't understand basic physics...at least Newton's 3rd law...shouldn't be surprising to me and I should shut the farg up.

Newton's thirds law and neck anatomy...that's what they should understand. Lead with the shoulder for christ's sake...but with the helmet? See that dumbfarg QB who headbutted the wall.
