My 3G took a shtein on me during vacation. Had dropped it into the sink partially over a year ago and at first it messed up the speakers and headphone which dried out and worked fine after a few days. Here a year later though it finally killed it. They said major water damage. So I got my boss's 3GS he got a few months back since he just got the new one. It's the 32 GB model, which I'm pretty stoked to have that much storage. I had the hardest time getting it to come up in itunes to sync and restore my settings. I tried everything. Turns out it was my fargin USB cord. It charges, but for some reason wasn't syncing. Luckily I had another cord from my first iphone and it worked. So if you have this problem, it may be the USB cord...

No way!  Good thing you saved that cord, huh?  I'm so relieved it all worked out in the end!

The fact that you posted that to prove in sarcastic fashion how much you don't care only means that there is a small part of you that actually does care.  Softie.

DoucheTony (free) - Your phone will curse at you, swig Maker's Mark, and force you to try decade-old MRE's.  Then it will take the kids to Disneyland and secks your Peruvian girlfriend.

Ha!  Pretty much my life in a nutshell.  Not too shabby.

With the OS update, I'm having more stuff crash on me than ever before. Pandora, for one.   :boom

Before the update I only had 1 app that would crash......and I wouldn't really call it a crash, it would just occasionally choose not to start when I tried opening it.  Quick reboot would fix it.  I did the update about a week or so ago and have had like 3 different apps crash once or twice but they would open back up with no problem without requiring me to power the phone off and on.  Hopefully Apple is able to push out an update that will fix it but so far, it hasn't been too much of a problem for me.

It is addicting.  I hate myself for allowing a phone to control me the way that this thing does.  In the past, I could go out and leave my phone at home and not give a shtein.  I pretty much hate getting phone calls when I'm not at home.  Now, I can't even go to the grocery store without it.  What if the checkout line is long and I have to wait and can't play games to pass the time?  How did I ever survive the waiting room at the doctor's office without this thing?

Hell, I was spoiled by the BlackBerry but that thing is archaic compared to this. I'm blown away at what some of these apps are. I've DLd quite a bit and havent even started fooling with iTunes yet.

anyone else having problems with the 4.1 update?  ever since i upgraded it i've been having shtein coverage at my house.. and normally i don't.  right now it just constantly searches for signal or has no service for long periods then bam it'll be full .. then 1 bar .. then edge .. basically its wacking out signal wise.  at the phillies game yesterday it was fine full 3g so i know it is working ok.. it just seem since the update it can't pick up a constant connection.  anyone else dealing with this? i have the 3gs

I've noticed that the speed in which it sends emails while on WIFI sucks. It used to be faster. Now I have the WIFI turned off.

Signalwise, I havent noticed anything.

LBIggle

the only thing i can even use at my house now is the wifi.. wtf?  going back to philly tonight so i'll keep an eye on it there.. but this shtein is farging annoying.  every once in a while i'll get like 5-10 txt messages at a time instead of when they come in one at a time.  its really struggling to find a signal.  i tried restoring it and it didn't do shtein.  i want to put the older OS on there but everything keeps saying i needed to save some profile or some shtein to do that.

My problem is battery now.

Its not the actual phone, but they have me a Mophie battery pack and I cant get it to charge right.

I need a new mobile.  I want one that is durable, works well as a phone, has a decent camera on it.  After that, i don't much care about other options.  I'm not going to pay for a data plan, so it doesn't have to be a smart phone.  Wi-fi would be nice though, so I could browse when I happen to be in a place with free wi-fi.

Any suggestions?

Motorola still makes phones with thick cases on them. Checking their website, they have seven phones that have both a camera and whatever they consider rugged construction.
