2 of alllll of those amazing hits were weak off the end of the bat squeakers to left field.  hits are hits sure but take away the reds 8 errors or whatever it was and they didn't really do much, actually.

Was at the bar to watch both games. Apparently LBI was there too getting Iced all night or something.

But come on, he's not that far off. Oswalt DID look rusty, and the bats weren't really lighting the world on fire. Errors and a no hitter helped this team a lot, as they should. And the Phillies are a good enough team to do what they're supposed to do and take advantage of the gifts they were given. Hopefully the bats wake up a little bit more as whoever they play next will make less errors.


But Halladay and Hamels look farging locked in. Hamels looks so much more confident in comparison to last year. He's up at the plate laughing at the ump....dude just has swagger this year, and is pitching pissed off. Loved seeing him come inside on Rolen after Rolen called time in the middle of his wind up.


On to the NLCS. Let's go Braves.

i basically said hurt players will benefit. (rollins, polanco)  oswalt probably won't. halladay will probably be able to pitch every single game anyway.
streaky players like werth and howard need to get in a groove not play 3 games in like 12 days.  shocking!!

both teams will have extended rests, dude.  the phillies at most will have three more days and considering the colossal number of injuries they've endured this year, that's probably a good thing.

also - it's not like this is their first trip to the rodeo.  they've shown repeatedly they're capable of playing at the highest level no matter the circumstance.   they'll be ready... no worries.
