That is, and most likely will be the most entertaining part of this movie.  Brad Pitt as Billy Beane?  Lol, really?  Kevin Spacey would have been a more realistic option imo.  What's the next flick, "Capology" starring Denzel as Joe Banner and Carrot Top as Andy Reid?

This movie has way too many pro/former pro ball players in it for me to think it's not going to suck.  Well, that along with the fact that most of the "real" actors kind of suck plus the story itself doesn't really seem like it will translate well into film.

what kind of lazy motherfarger do you have to be to rely on sites like rotten tomatoes to influence your movie-going decisions?

if i see something and it looks interesting i go see it.  i'm usually not disappointed although sometimes i am (the american for instance).

of course there are time when reviewers absolutely kill a movie and i end up loving it (hot tub time machine).

it's like anything else.  make up your own mind and stop relying on professional hacks who weren't talented enough as writers to actually participate in the creative process.

Don't rely on it, just use it to avoid movies that get universally trashed. Or if I'm undecided like Sgt PSN. Usually if I think a movie looks interesting in some way I'll go see it no matter what. Probably why I've only seen like 2-3 movies in theater this year so far. (whole bunch of carp this year) Only movie out rest of the year I want to see is Let Me In, then maybe Skyline, just to see how awesomely terrible it's going to be!
