Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Didn't make it to Let Me In this weekend, so a couple of recent DVD watches:

Book of Eli: 7/10 - Above average for what I expected to be a standard action movie. Denzel can still play a good bad-ass. And a 'what a twist' at the end, but this time a great one!

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo: 8/10 - Very good movie, stays true to the excellent book except for a few minor details. Has an OK English dub if you're not into subtitles with your foreign films.

The Road - 9/10 - Awesomely great, but not for everyone. Marginally less depressing than watching an uncut holocaust documentary, but how it got overlooked at the Oscars is a crime.

It's hard to find a problem with movie reviews for films I haven't seen, but I did with yours. 

Exactly what in the hell is so god damn depressing about watching a holocaust documentary?  Well, other than the ending.

just watched it this weekend. the message of how people would use the bible for different reasons, some for good and some for control was done nicely. plus, mila kunis.

mrqe is where you want to go...its not perfect but RT is a travesty

It's the fact that you were referencing Rotten Tomato (even if incorrectly) for a bad review, but a good review carries no weight.

i said neither are perfect but at least with mrqe you can find and read reviews from the new yorker waspo entertainment....ect...shtein that isnt mindless....you dont need to fight thru 1000 threeblackchicks reviews
