Oh, and regarding Julie Benz-- the thick blood in the tub at the beginning of Dexter was a rip. I wanted to see boobage.

PoopyfaceMcGee

She won't do it.  Part of the reason the writers were sick of her shtein, I'd imagine.

I wasn't crazy about the second episode of 5-0 but to call it cookie cutter is fairly inaccurate as I see it.

If anything the producers are trying too hard for it to be different.  The pacing of the show, from the music to the dialogue to the editing of the scenes is entirely too frenetic for a cop show.  Everything feels forced, especially the scenes between Danno & McGarrett.

Just tone it down a notch and stop trying to force feed the audience two hours of action in fifty minutes of screen time.

Zanshin

Are you kidding? It's as formulaic a show as it could be with no interesting characters of note. It's like a throwback to an 80's cop show in terms of originality. And, yes, I'm aware it's a remake. Still really cookie cutter.

I DVR'd that "No Ordinary Family" shtein because Chiklis is usually good and Julie Benz is delicious.  But it is actually watchable?

Never heard of it before today, but from what I've read it isn't good yet.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Munson

I Love Lucy, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Threes Company, all good shows before HBO. Also not really dramas, but yah.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

The BIGSTUD

Sunny was hilarious tonight after a weak start the last 2 epis.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

MDS

14 more episodes of childrens hospital next year
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Outsourced is awful.  I don't think it's gonna last...

Rome

i watched the pilot and it was horrendous.

ABC re-ran the premier last night and I watched.  It wasn't great, but I didn't think it sucked either.  I'd say it's just barely interesting enough to make me want to watch a couple more episodes to see where they go with it.  For the most part though, it seemed like a live action television version of The Incredibles.

Sunny was good I agree.  The first two episodes were poor.

I can't believe that anyone watched the previews for Outsourced and actually bothered to try the show.

Rome

I watch a lot of shows once.  Then I settle on two or three and patiently wait for them to get cancelled.

Happens every year.

Good news is the Flyers have usually started by then so I can ignore television altogether unless they're playing.

It sorta caught my interest since my company has call centers in third world countries, but there's nothing to work with.  How many jokes can they do with the woman you can't hear, or the creepy guy in the turban, or Manmeet flirting with the fat American women?  Oh wait...there's Oswald from the Drew Carey show.  Ratings!
