QuoteHe added that he hopes fans will acknowledge that he never asked to be traded and it was the team that chose to trade him to the rival taterskins.

I don't want to think thats true.

I agree.  McNabb does an excellent job of throwing with his whole body, and he certainly has a gun.  But, Vick reminds me of Randall Cunningham (in this way among others) in that he can basically flick his wrist and throw the ball 50 yards.  His natural velocity is off the charts impressive.

When did Cunningham ever "flick" a pass. He had the longest throwing motion ever. On of the raps on him was his poor release. Randall took a full wind up whether he was throwing a short out, or chucking one downfield.
Vick has the qualities you speak of, but Randall did not.

Im not being a fleshpop, but you're off on that comparison.

yeah i don't remember randall having anything close to a quick release. in fact his mechanics were an issue when rhodes went with the WCO but he did look like he wasn't even putting much effort into his throws when he went long.

Arm strength:  Edge: McNabb.

stopped reading then puked

vick probably has the strongest arm in the history of the league

Yep. Vick can throw the ball 50+ yards off his back foot just flicking the ball. His arm is the strongest I've ever seen. Columnist must be a dog lover.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Poise: Edge McNabb

Have to question that one too. How does this guy define poise? Donavan was hardly a rock in close hard fought contests. In those games I was looking for someone like Westbrook, or the D to carry the day, not Donny.

QB Eagles

Vick circa 2006 was clearly inferior to McNabb circa 2006 as an overall QB. Vick was one of the most inaccurate QBs around. He was great at running and throwing the ball extremely hard at no one. Vick was probably the most overrated player in the league before he got caught electrocuting dogs... amazing physical talent, but lazy and prone to sloppy execution.

Vick has been better so far this season, but he played shtein teams and there is a lot a season left. Has he actually gotten serious about his life and career, and matured as a QB? The story of who is better in 2010 has yet to be written.

You have to respect the way he bounced back and played after Rush Limbaugh's hurtful comments. Most guys would fall apart mentally after an ordeal like that.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
