going into each of those NFC Champ games I had 0 confidence in the Rams game, thought no way they would lose to the Bucs, very little confidence against the Panthers without Westbrook, and though they would beat the Cardinals but was still scared about Fitz.

they all crushed me but the one that hurt the most was the Bucs one. its also the one i think McNabb lost mostly by himself.

Really? It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people were extremely confident that the Eagles were going to beat the Bucs.

McNabb, and to a lesser extent Reid, choked hard as farg in that Bucs game. That was their year, not only to win the NFC but the SB, and they blew it.

I also thought they could/would beat the Cards, but if you took non-Eagles fans and asked them, it was probably a 50/50 split on who was favored in that game. And in hindsight I don't know how anyone could say the Eagles were the better team and got beat by the lessor team. The Cardinals were better, period.

Donovan McNabb said on his local radio show that he expects to be cheered by Philadelphia fans when he returns with the Washington taterskins to face the team Sunday he played on for 11 seasons.

McNabb, who was famously booed by Eagles fans on draft day, holds no illusions about how the notoriously hostile Eagles fans will treat him once the game starts, saying he expects a warm reception to only last "until the whistle blows and the game starts."

On his weekly radio show on Washington's ESPN-980, McNabb said, according to the Philadelphia Daily News, "Honestly, I think I will be more cheered. No matter what the situation is, right now I'm with a different team and it's a rival and it wasn't my choice. We had a successful 11 years. We had a lot of exciting plays and obviously some down times, but there were more exciting things in 11 years."

He added that he hopes fans will acknowledge that he never asked to be traded and it was the team that chose to trade him to the rival taterskins.

Although the topic has been a constant conversation piece since the moment Week 3 ended, McNabb says he's focusing on preparing for the game and hasn't given thought to what his emotions might be like for the return.

"Everyone else that I've talked to has and rightly so. I've been on the other side of the tide with other guys who have come in, Brian Dawkins, Troy Vincent and the list goes on, Jeremiah Trotter ...

"I think in this situation, I'll be open-minded at what happens ... Everyone wants to know how I feel, my emotions. I really can't answer that. Right now, it's just focusing on playing against the Philadelphia Eagles. I would have an answer for you during the game about my emotions and how I felt during the game.
