I am.  The books are excellent.    

Only bad part about HBO making a series is that George RR Martin is so wrapped up in it that he hasn't written a book in like 3 years.

It may be because I live here and was a huge fan of the original but the new Hawaii 5-0 blows ass.  To slapsticky and than they get all deep and try to be serious.  And Daniel Dae Kim who I think is a great actor needs to lay off the Mr. Hawaii bit.  YOU ARE KOREAN!

I'm kinda disappointed The Colony is done. It was interesting, and I enjoyed watching it, but I hope they do a second season with different people. I can't imagine they'll get the same people to agree to do it again any time soon.

I've never been to Hawaii and I watched the original show for a while when I was a kid and I think the new show kind of sucks.  I don't remember the original enough to make legit comparisons so I approached this one as if it were a brand new show rather than a recycled idea and I just can't get into it.  Although, I think part of the reason I have hard time watching it is because the the intro gives me a seizure.  Looks like they tried to copy the original intro and throw a bunch of modern camera work and graphics in with it and it literally gives me a headache by the time they get to the flashing lights at the very end of it.

I'm pretty sure the original sucked because 99% of pre-HBO hey-day era TV was terrible

dramas didnt start getting good until the wire, sopranos, deadwood, the shield, etc. came along which paved the way for mad men, breaking bad, dexter, etc. today.

i mean didnt people think the brady bunch was good?

deadwood should've been longer
