Reid claimed that the only person he discussed the move with prior to making the decision was Kolb.  Everyone else was after the fact.  The media seems to be leaning toward believing him.  Thoughts?

I believe him

Andy is a disgruntled introvert who eats as a way to deal with stress. Add into it the fact that he thinks he's the smartest guy in a room and there's your decision. I doubt the players/coaches/front office approached him or prodded him one way or another.

smeags

he tells the truth, his english just isn't that good.
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

He's claiming that the meetings he had with Roseman/Banner/Lurie were to TELL them of his decision, not to help him make his decision.

I find this to be a great read...especially for all those who now worship the almighty Vick.   :-D   :-D  :-D  :-D

I used to be one of his harshest critics and even when they signed him last year didn't like it or understand it simply because he was a career 53% passer.

My opinion has changed. I like his new attitude and the way he is playing.

My opinion has changed. I like that he is black so if I squint I can pretend he's McNabb.

people definitely dont ever mature as they age...nor do they carry themself differently after a change of scenery

its a known fact that he was given a god like status by arthur blank and took advantage of it by acting super immature and not taking his career seriously

however say what you want about him but he has been over the top professional since hes come to philly...especially during this whole qb thing....and im saying this as someone who thinks he would gillooly cobb to get the job

and who worships vick?...thats as bad as phreak saying people called cobb a savoir and a quaterbacking jesus

Does that mean Kolb has been crucified as Quarterback Jesus?

I'm thinking more and more that this decision was made for three reasons, in this order:

1. No other team in the NFC East looks dominant.  The division is winnable, even if the Super Bowl is unlikely.  Thus, winning this year becomes more important to the "pyrite standard" FO than if the Cowboys weren't floundering and the Giants didn't lay an egg against the Colts.
2. Vick has looked good and has made plays no other QB in the NFL can make behind a line that is forcing him to make those kinds of plays to win.
3. Kolb hasn't done anything on the field since being named the starter to prove it was the right call, including the preseason.

Maybe 'worship Vick' is too strong, how about 'blow Vick'?  I think alot of people confuse the unstoppable Vick on Madden with Vick the real life QB. He just was never that good and still isn't that good.  The only good I can see coming from Vick starting is that he plays well enough to earn a huge long-term contract with the taterskins.

Per this lady, he is humbled and is practicing harder.

Basically, he was relying completely on his talents before.  Now, he's practicing harder and watching film and all that shtein.  Is it that hard to believe that someone with his natural ability could become an above-average passer by putting in a little work?  Is it that hard to believe that a stint in prison can change a man forever?
