so how much guaranteed money do you think the eagles pay vick after he starts all the games this year and gets them to the playoffs?

All i can say is that he looks great in that jersey, looks like a starting lineup figure

the entertainment factor is there for sure. if you're going to be running for your life behind this o-line anyway, why not have a guy that can run his ass off?

vick's jersey sales spike after week 2.

I'm glad to see that Vick played well against the Packers and I'm actually hoping that he gets another start or 2.  Not that I don't want Kolb, but I think that if Vick gets one or 2 starts and plays like he did against GB, then it dramatically improves his trade value.  Perhaps a team like Arizona or Miami would be willing to give up a nice draft pick for him before the deadline.

The Eagles aren't doing shtein this year with or without him.  With him, maybe they're a playoff team.  But regardless who is under center, this team ain't winning a super bowl.  So I'd just as soon let Vick play to improve his trade value.  Get what you can for him and send him on his way.  Then if Kolb happens to play well and the Eagles make the post season....fine.  But if the team faulters and they finish 4 and 12, then at least they've got a top 5 pick next year to use on a LT and will also have the extra pick from Vick.

Wow, that second pick is awesome. Those uni's are the best. Only thing I'd do is put the double white strip on the sleeve.

Looks roughly 900 times better in the old school greens.

I think Reid should give Vick one or two whole series, so he still gets play but Kolb does not have to look over his shoulder for #7 on every play.

reese125

and you think this helps Kolb stay in a groove?

PoopyfaceMcGee

No, but I think it is unreasonable to have a guy like Vick and simply keep his ass on the bench.  So, if Vick playing is inevitable, then just give him the ball for an entire series instead of mixing and matching.  Thus, if the team gets into a 1st and 20 or 2nd and 11 (both of which happened against the Packers with Vick in on 1st down), Vick will have to dig himself out of it... instead of Kolb getting raped.

reese125

so just pick and choose the series--heads or tails?

as much as I would rather have vick in for entertainment purposes, swapping qbs out for whole series is completely illogical by any means, not to mention you would see nachos and nutty buddys raining down on Reid's head from the stands if he pulled that shtein

PoopyfaceMcGee

While I understand that the crowd in Jacksonville is likely to contain plenty of Eagles fans, I think it's more likely to be the ones who don't ever leave a nacho or a nutty buddy behind.

I don't see how this could work. Seems like it would mess the whole offense up. If Kolb is playing he starts until he gets buried or Reid pulls him and sits him for good.
