I just got Dragon Age Origins for PS3.  Any pointers?  Don't create a Dwarven Rogue?

Rogues aren't so bad in there, and dwarves always make good melee characters. The game seems to want plate wearing warriors, but any race/class combination is fine.

Talk to everyone, and try out each of the six(?) starting off points.

They're all good, some are better than others, but they all tie in to the main story sooner or later.

Definitely be a human mage in Dragon Age. You can become ridiculously powerful if you use the right classes. I recommend Blood Mage and Arcane Warrior.

I should probably say that if you be a Arcane Warrior as a mage, then you can wield swords and shields and heavy armor just like Warriors. So you can use both magic and weapons, which makes you very balanced as a fighter and gives you a lot of customization with your character.

They really made mages too good to pass up in this game. Plus the back story is pretty good for it too. My favorite.

Polished off Bioshock 2. Really enjoyed it...but I wish I could go back in and just tool around now that the story is over. I was less impressed with the multiplayer mode, though. Problem is as you play in multiplayer, you unlock upgrades. So I was running around with a pistol against all of these juiced up players. I prefer an even playing field.

Come to think of it, that's the same problem I have with the mulitplayer in the NHL series. People earn or buy upgrades that give them an advantage. To me, that takes the fun out of going in to play.

so i've never owned an ncaa football game...compared to madden is it better or worse? other than the teams, is there any real difference?

the buttons are the same..i used to be the same way, but madden last year was much better than years past and it boils down to i'd rather play with the Eagles than Penn State, especially since PSU is gonna blow this year

I just got my rosters yesterday.  The new NCAA is way better than last year.  It is almost too easy though if you are any good you will have to play Heisman. 

Sun mo PSU is really good in this years version.  Their D is a little suspect, but their offense is sick. They have Newsome rated like an 87 and he can scramble like a motherfarger.
