I stayed there from 2/06 to 8/06.

Seems to be a bit long for a vacay to P'Burgh.

It was for a project I was working on (back when I was still "homeless"). 

The first two months, I was at the Hilton downtown.  Its a dump, never stay there.

i knew about the surgery but didn't know about all the clinics specializing in it.  it's really quite disturbing that there are still societies out there that are so repressed and archaic in their thinking that something like this is considered a necessity.  women literally fearing for their lives and contemplating suicide because they had sex before marriage is sickening.  and even worse is the fact that these women will carry that secret around with them for the rest of their lives.  that's no way to live. 

even the catholic church isn't that bad.  sure, they frown upon pre-marital sex but as long as you say a few hail mary's and apologise for it, then everything is all good and you're straight with the lord.
