Random question to throw out....

Anyone who thinks they're going 6-10 based on the schedule... what order of the same games would change you mind?  Or vice versa? What did you think they were going to do this year before yesterday? (even though you knew every game that was going to be there)

Rome

I don't think anyone here believes they're going 6-10, Cholly.

9-7 is more realistic judging on what they did last year and what they've added & lost so far.  All that is going to change by Sunday, though...

I'm almost happy that this schedule looks brutal. If they had a cupcake schedule pressure and expectations would be through the roof. A new QB and a roster that has overturned so much is unlikely to produce a dominant team, even with the easiest of schedules. A year of finding their feet and getting a high draft pick next year doesn't sound so awful to me at all.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

the offense is basically the same other than kolb and kolb showed he can move the team up and down the field and score a lot of points.  i think he's going to be better than mcnabb but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.

the defense is going to be a huge question mark, though, but considering the guys they got rid of are supposed to be replaced by upgrades, expecting a similar record or slightly worse (9-7 or 10-6) isn't that big a stretch.

i will say a total implosion wouldn't be the worst thing in the world because that would bring us one step closer to seeing the fat boy gone.

General_Failure

You know what else would bring us one step closer to Andy leaving? Sending him a cheesecake for every win. And two cheesecakes for every loss.

The man. The myth. The legend.

schedule isnt nearly as bad as everyone is thinking...only one back to back road games vs two sets of home and home games plus a middle of the season bye into a home game...

green bay - cobb gets to open up his starting career at home against a terrible secondary

detroit - 2nd straight roadie for detroit (this is a trend that will continue)

@ jacksonville - jags will be just coming back from a west coast trip against a good sd team...will be 25 thousand eagles fans there

washington - second straight roadie for the skins

@ sf - if you are gonna have a prime time game its good that its a aginst a team with no discernable home field advantage plus the 49ers will be coming back from a east coast swing

atlanta - second straight roadie for the falcons

indy - not only do they get indy at home after the bye but indy will be on a short week having played monday nite football the week before

@ wash - skins coming off a west coast trip birds taking a train down after having been in philly for three weeks

giants - two weeks leading up to this game for the giants are a west coast trip and a brutal game vs the cowboys

@ chicago - this is a tough one...on the road in a hostile enviroment and the bears coming in with ten days off

houston - houston goes to the jets week before then has short week and has to fly back to philly

@ dallas - tough game but have ten days off leading up to it

@ giants - real tough spot

minnesota - farve outdoors in december on the road - lock it up

dallas - 2nd roadie in a row for dallas

Eagles all time record vs. the Bears is something like 6-30. I know games that happened 30 years ago should have no bearing on the current team but the Bears always give the Eagles a tough time.

As for the record who gives a shtein? This season isn't about w/l, it's about finally shedding dead weight and starting a new era with some young talent. The good thing for the Eagles is there is already some young talent on the team so they're not starting from scratch. I think 8-8 would be considered  a successful season.

MDS

i love how the eagles have 9 home games
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

DH

You forgot the Titans game.
