i refuse to believe more than a couple hundred people are really bend out of shape over the sharks. its friggin san jose and its hockey. they wear turquoise. come on.

yeah the news might care because they have nothing else to talk about sports wise...but the 4 billion latinos in san jose could care less

like when the maple leafs or canadiens lose its funny. when the sharks lose its irrelevant. nobody gives a crap that they lose in the first round every year. nobody would give a crap if they folded and moved to seattle. there are 20 nhl teams like this. what a great league.

yea because for hockey fans flyers/devils is great

there are no more than 10 interesting teams in the nhl. the flyers are one of them. so what they do is noteworthy, especially when they are playing a team like the devils. the coyotes and sharks....no. nothing. meaningless.

Sure Devils vs Flyers is great, but why did the NHL decide to not air the games on either VS or NBC, or NHLN.  Well done

devils are irrelevant and the flyers new years game was disappointing...its just not a series that appeals to non flyer fans and isnt going to ever be televised over the pens

that said they could have put it on the same rotation as the caps montreal series and televised one of the games

that said only people in philly care about it and flyers fans out of philly have the package and get the game. someone like me who would watch a playoff game if it was on vs. isnt shedding any tears if its not on.

the flyers are "up there" in terms of appeal but lag behind the ovechkin, crosby, boston, chicago and detroit.

And as Dave Stubbs of Habs Inside/Out points out, Ovechkin does this every game, whether there's a little kid there or nobody, it's part of a pre-game routine.

nashville just gave up a shorthanded goal with 13 seconds left to send the game to overtime instead of going home up 3-2
