So the lower seeds winning in the NBA is good, but in the NHL brutal?

it happens all the time in hockey, dingus

it happens much less in the nba, so when you get an upset its noteworthy. also basketball is less of a random, ride a hot goalie kind of sport so the winner of a 7 game series is actually the better team.

why not give the top 3/4 seeds some kind of bye while the next 4/6 play best of 3's or round robins or whatever to weed themselves out, then go 7 games.
