He wasn't having the 'best season of his career', he was having an average year by his standards. If he was so hurt he could have chosen to sit until he healed, players play through pain all the time. Again, not SB contenders next season, the team has already released a shtein ton of veterans, he's on the downside of his career. Am I missing something? Accept that we're rebuilding and you'll feel a whole lot better about the situation. The good thing is at least this team has some young up and coming talent to watch.

I don't have a problem with them rebuilding because they clearly weren't going to seriously contend with the roster they had.  That's not to say they couldn't have added pieces this offseason to be serious contenders but they chose to slash payroll under the guise of "getting younger".  God, the very suggestion of it makes me furious.

What I have an issue is THEM telling us this move wasn't about money, it wasn't about Sheldon speaking up over his contract, and they aren't rebuilding.

Roseman has gone on record repeatedly now saying they aren't rebuilding.

Maybe you can accept being lied to by those corksuckers but I've had my fill for a lifetime.

Oh, and Reese... the Eagles actually have not one, but TWO competent alternatives to McNabb.  Comparing giving Sheldon Brown away for next to nothing and the McNabb scenarios that have been floating around is inexplicably retarded even for you.

i don't think the fans have as much of a problem hearing it as the players would because it would basically be the front office saying that the players aren't any good......which is what this team is getting close to being.

We don't know the size of Mike's Vick to really know if he's more qualified than Joselio. Let's face it, all they're going to do is dick around this season.

Asante's poor tackling aside, he's the best CB on the roster.

Bobby Taylor couldn't tackle for shtein and made no effort to even try, but he was a helluva CB.

Sheldon was a good CB. For what they got for him (they should not have traded him, IMO) its a crime.

And Ellis Hobbs is a better CB than Vick is a QB, Romey.
