Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

CBS Sportsline's Clark Judge Reporting Sheldon Brown and Chris Gocong to CLE...

Here's the "official" from Philly.com...

QuoteEagles reportedly close to deal with Browns

The Eagles are reportedly on the verge of a trade -- no, not that one.

The Birds are close to a deal to send cornerback Sheldon Brown and linebacker Chris Gocong to the Cleveland Browns, sources told Clark Judge of CBSSports.com. In exchange, the Eagles would get one of two packages -- either a player and a draft pick or two picks and a backup, Judge writes.

The holdup on the deal is Brown agreeing to a new contract, Judge reports. Brown has been disgruntled with his contract sign last spring when he requested a trade. He skipped the team's voluntary minicamp but reported on time for training camp and had one of his better seasons, including a career-high five interceptions. He also played through a hamstring injury.

At the owners meeting last week, coach Andy Reid said the Eagles had received "a few" inquiries about Brown, and added this: "The nice thing with Sheldon is he's still under contract and been able to make a living. We'll just take it from there. We'll see what happens over time."

Gocong has been the subject of trade discussions for quite some time, as he never became the pass rusher the Eagles expected. He played strongside linebacker for the Eagles, but Judge reports he would move inside with the Browns. Gocong signed his restricted free agent tender earlier this week. The Eagles tendered him at the original third-round level.

Asked about the strongside linebacker situaton, Reid said, "You've got Chris (Gocong) and (Moise) Fokou. We'll see what happens there."

The connections between the Eagles and Browns have been well-documented. New Browns general manager Tom Heckert formerly held that same position with the Eagles, and Reid and new Browns president Mike Holmgren are best friends.

The Eagles are single-handedly dismantling this team and ridding it of any veterans with backbone enough to stand up to management.

Meanwhile the four-eyed troll corksucker in charge gets a raise and a three year extension.

HATE.

I don't necessesarily want them going 3-13 because that would mean a fall and winter of misery for me.  But getting rid of a guy like Sheldon just because he's looking for a better deal financially smacks of the sort of petty and vindictive behavior that should be investigated by the league.

There's simply no rhyme or reason to getting rid of a guy who's never missed a game in 9 years in the league, especially considering the fact that his play hasn't diminished yet.   Not only that, they're actually weakening a position of relative strength on the team, which makes even less sense.

I'd be happy with Brown staying, but if they can get something for him at 31 years of age I say go for it. Not like this team is winning squat next season. The Browns have 3 3's and 3 5's in the upcoming draft.

Every other team in the NFL presumably is trying to get stronger right now.  With each passing move it appears the Eagles are trying to get weaker for 2010.  Sorry but that doesn't sound smart to me.  It's sounds arrogant and presumptuous, which, strangely enough, are two adjectives that describe the collection of douchebags who run the team to a tee.
