MDS will win a Pulitzer before the Eagles will sign a 30-plus year-old running back.

I know...but he'd be a real nice complement to Shady.

If he played like he did with the Jets last year I'd have no problem with that.   Of course, Reid won't run the ball enough to satisfy one running back and with Shady on the team plus Leonard Weaver supposedly being re-signed, I just don't see where Jones would fit in there.

I guess I could always pray that the fat dipshtein completely changes his chuck & duck offensive philosophy and starts running the ball for real.

I could see the Eagles signing him despite his age, I just don't think they'd be willing to match what some other teams will offer.

Jahri Evans got the highest tender from NO. I'd be damn tempted to give up a 1st and 3rd for him, especially considering the slots they are drafting from, and if they can address one or two positions of need via FA.

Nick Cole, Akeem Jordan, and Avant get 2nd round tenders. I'd probably hold onto Avant for a second unless it was a fairly early in the round.

I really hope these fools try and scoop up Karlos Dansby.

The funny thing is they spent roughly 20 draft choices on receivers looking for an Avant, they get one, then only tender him with the prospect of getting a draft pick back in return if they don't match.

Awesome.

I dont know/remember if had injuries down the stretch of the 2nd half of the season, but dude was invisible. Its not like you can expect a bunch out of a 4th receiver regardless, but I thought he was going to be used much more in different package sets

his hands are sick and he should be kept, but I think with the emergence of Maclin and their high use of Celek, he might play the same role this year again....and might be worth the 2nd rd'er

No one will give up a second round pick for Avant.  He's just not worth that.

You never know when it comes to WRs people tend to over pay because they are difficult to find.

avant plays his role well but its a role that can be filled pretty easily...and it may have to be because hes not going to last much longer if he has to continue exposing his internal organs while reaching back for mcnabbs throws

what are you talking about...mcnabb is gone

DH

Avant is incredibly underrated. He drops nothing. That said, no one is gonna spend a 2nd rounder to sign him.
