I'm surprised that teams are actually interested in trading for Vick, considering his salary and bonus that's due - if in fact they really are. I'd have thought they would wait until he's released, calling the Eagles bluff about keeping him.

John Clayton is a shmuck and ESPN lost all credibility with me during the whole T.O. thing to the Eagles.

They don't break news...and their analysts don't know shtein. They just have multiple people making every guess possible...so that eventually...one of them gets it right and they can claim to have had the inside scoop.

Asked where he'd like to play, Vick made a choice.

"If I could play for any team in the league, it would probably be two teams, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Carolina Panthers," Vick said, via Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer.

(Vick never identifies the other team.)

The reasons?  "Well, you know, it's close to home," Vick said.  "I like the uniforms.  You get to play against Atlanta twice a year.  Ain't nothing better than playing against your former team, right?  So, yeah, that would be a good look, it would be a good look."

Nice, pick a team you want by the color of the unis. Maybe the eagles could change to light/dark blue and keep him happy and in Philly.

vick has no long term future here and he's known that since day 1.  i'm glad he publicly named a team he's interested in playing for.  i wish he'd name about 4 more teams so maybe they'd all be inclined to get into a small bidding war for his services.  because more often than not, the most interesting person in the room is the person who is interested in you.

Vick also was on the radio yesterday in St. Louis, trying to drum up interest there with the Rams, just as he did the other day with the Carolina Panthers. What you are beginning to smell is more than a whiff of desperation. But that's business.

well now, he's still under contract with the eagles but out there campaigning for other teams to trade for him. nice.
