last night i was watching carolina - kent. on espn classic...it was from dec 81...and was jordans 7th or 8th game as college freshman...and it was so surreal...marv albert and al mcguire were calling him "mike jordan"

Oh how the mighty have fallen. North  Carolina Tar Heels 4-10 in the ACC, and 15-14 overall. Any other team with that record would be on the bubble and likely not make the tourney with a bad showing in their conference tourney. But watch and see if the Tar Heels don't make it anyway even if they suck in the ACC tourney.

Don't know about that. How quick do you come back from 4-10? Not to say they won't, because they have that edge in recruiting even though it doesn't show this year. And this year ain't over yet.

Yeah, great game and you're right, that was one that they'd have lost in years past. VTs a damn good team this year and that clutch win kept them in the running for the regular season ACC title, which will be decided wednesday night when Duke comes to college park.

people arent funneling money to unc so they can miss the tourney 2 years in a row. theyll be a top 25 team next year because they are unc. but they blow this year.

lol....before last night you saw less than three seconds of VT basketball this year...they farging stink and so does the acc...and for that matter so does cbb

im pretty sure VT doesnt have a single good road win this year and only one quality win the whole season (against wake)...and thats stretching the definition of quality


the fact that they are one of the better teams in the acc is an embarrassment

This is not a good year for ACC hoops.  I took a spur of the moment road trip down to Wake on Friday afternoon with a buddy of mine who I graduated with.  He had tickets to the UNC game but his flight was canceled out of Syracuse so he was looking for someone to head down with him.  The game was miserable.  Wake's started their annual March collapse a little early this year.   Duke is good but not great, Maryland is winning but they rarely blow teams out.  They MIGHT be a sweet 16 team.  After that you have a bunch of mediocre - above average teams that will get 7-11 seeds in FSU, Wake, VT, GTech, Clemson who have very little chance of making it out of the first weekend.

The acc has five teams with at least 20 wins. Like I said they aren't as good as they have been but they don't suck
