That completely sucks. It's not only the hassle but it also probably affects your credit rating. I had a Wachovia card and they sold off that  part of the business to BOA. I knew nothing about it, I just got the card in the mail one day with 20 pages of fine print saying I was swicthed and how awesome it was, even though the terms were the same.

My hatred of BofA has been building up for years. Their automated customer service and 100% inability to call a local branch was the first problem. Then I had to work with their investment branch on several projects through work. Now this shtein. I have no doubt that I will find something to bitch about with the next bank, but in the mean time farg them.

BA sucks. I've read a lot of horror stories about them.

I would prefer to use USAA for my checking and savings because they are awesome. But I just have the savings because I use Chase for my checking. My debit card is tied in with Continental Airlines and I get a mile for every dollar I spend. That translates to about 3500 miles a month when its all said and done. I've used free tickets to Vegas twice, Peru twice and Philadelphia twice.
